I messed up on-line trying to order ( purchase ) Wondershare Ripper Pac ( three programs )and ended up with a reg for ONLY Video Converter.
It's been SIX days now and I'm getting nowhere. My dialog box on there site has more than 20 messages back and forth.
THET simply WILL NOT comply with there own 30 Day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if not satisfied. The only option they give me is to KEEP the program I ended up with for $50 and BUY what I was REALLY looking for.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
I had a similar problem with UNIBLUE ( company ) --- REFUND in less than 2 hours. Do business with them for whatever they sell.

Remember, anyone, back in the olden days when software came with user manuals? There never was much printed for operating systems, but they usually came with help files that installed on the local hard drive. There's no equivalent anymore for Windows, not since before XP.

The Windows community does many good things, but it does =not= serve this function. Maybe it's a generational thing, but I don't like pressing keys, making selections or initiating actions when I'm not clear what is supposed to happen as a result. All too often things happen I don't want and then I have to get help with a mess.

It's difficult to frame a general question in advance clearly enough to get information that will be applicable to and usable by me, especially when I'm trying to get basic understanding before experimenting or trying things. When asking in the Community, I'm often asked to describe what I've done and what happened (when I haven't done anything yet) or what I'm trying to accomplish (when I may be trying to find what's possible to accomplish). It's like trying to research a possible thesis topic without being able to read the source material yourself. Instead you have to ask an expert a series of questions, where the expert interprets what you're after. Since you don't know where you want to go at that point, you never get anywhere.

There are many topics I'd like to research, but no online general information I can find. As a result I get much less out of Windows 10 than it's capable of delivering and I'm much more likely to wind up with a problem when I do try new things. If anyone can point me to an MS 'user manual' site for Windows 10, I'd be very grateful. If there isn't one, this is a shout-out to Microsoft: Please start the process and publish one online. It might pay off in the long run with less pressure on MS support reps, better use of Community resources and happier users (at least those of us who like to know exactly what they're doing =before= they do it and are willing to read up).
